Download WordPress Theme and Use it in XAMPP

9. Save and close the wp-config.php file.
10. Open your web browser and type localhost/wordpress in the address bar. It will open the WordPress installation page.
11. Follow the instructions on the installation page to install WordPress.

Step 4: Upload and Activate the WordPress Theme

After installing WordPress in XAMPP, you need to upload and activate the WordPress theme that you have downloaded in step 1. Here are the steps:

1. Open your web browser and type localhost/wordpress/wp-admin in the address bar. It will open the WordPress login page.
2. Enter the username and password that you have set during the WordPress installation.
3. After logging into the WordPress dashboard, click on the Appearance menu on the left sidebar and then click on Themes.
4. Click on the Add New button at the top of the page.
5. Click on the Upload Theme button and select the WordPress theme file that you have downloaded in step 1.
6. Click on the Install Now button and wait for the theme to be installed.
